Montgomery Board Approves Three-Year Employee Agreement | News, Sports, Jobs
The Montgomery Area School Board this week approved a three-year contract for the district’s janitorial and maintenance staff.
The agreement with District Council 86 American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees calls for a $1.05 raise in the first year and $0.50 in the second and third years.
The contract, which takes effect July 1 and covers four workers, includes a high-deductible health insurance plan.
Single employees pay a $2,000 deductible and employees with families pay $4,000 in expenses.
As a further action, the board approved a bid for lawn and landscaping from D&J Lawn Care.
Costs are $700 per cut for junior/senior high school, $800 per cut for community center, $9,000 for spring and fall maintenance, and $5,850 for seasonal field maintenance.
The board approved the dual enrollment agreement between the district and the Pennsylvania College of Technology Health Sciences.
The Board approved the District Police Department Standard Operating Procedures Guide and the 2022-23 High School Curriculum Guide.
In personnel matters, the board approved Jen Johnson, Paula Taylor and Mindy Tripoli as mentors.
Todd Grimm was licensed as a volunteer soccer coach for junior high school girls.
The board held an executive meeting to discuss personnel and legal issues.
The next board meeting will be on Tuesday, April 19 at 7 p.m.
