Perdana Petroleum secures RM11.6 million in work orders from Petronas Carigali

KUALA LUMPUR (September 15) – Offshore marine services provider Perdana Petroleum Bhd announced it has received two work orders valued at RM11.6 million from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

The contracts include the provision of tug and anchor handling support vessels with crew and equipment to perform 24-hour rig support and maintenance services, offshore installations, derrick barges, towing and anchor work.

In a stock exchange filing, Perdana Petroleum said its wholly owned subsidiary Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd received the first work order valued at RM6 million on July 4th. The contract began on July 15 and is expected to last up to 90 days.

In another filing, Perdana Petroleum said Perdana Nautika secured a RM5.6 million work order extension award from Petronas Carigali on July 1.

“The original contract, which began on April 27, was for up to 15 days with an option to extend it up to 14 days. Subsequently, Perdana Nautika received the contract, which extended the term by another 120 days and started on July 4,” it added.

Perdana Petroleum said both contracts are expected to contribute positively to the Group’s earnings and net assets for the year ended December 31, 2022.

In March, the group announced that it had received three ship charter deals from Petronas Carigali on February 14.

Perdana Petroleum’s share price closed Thursday (September 15) up 6.25% or half a sen at 8.5 sen, giving the group a market capitalization of RM188.4 million.
